In the context of the general trend of the state to work on the expansion of  external projects and regional investments, particularly in the Nile Basin countries, the "Smart Villages - Engineering Consultants Group" Consortium competed against twelve International Giant Consortiums with an extensive experience in the field of preparation of detailed studies to establish “Business & Technology Parks” and has been awarded the contract of  “Preparing the Master Plan and detailed Engineering, Socioeconomic & Financial studies” to establish the first Technology Park in Uganda".

Studies include the preparation of the master plan, Market Studies, Feasibility Studies, Business Plan and the initial designs documents to be presented to the Ugandan government to move forward in the next stages of the preparation of the detailed  design documents and selecting the master developer and then proceed with the implementation of the project noting that this Park is only a pilot project for a group of Smart Villages that the Ugandan State plans to establish to keep pace with global technological progress ..

Dr. / Adel Danish, Chairman and CEO of Smart Villages Development and Management Company commented saying that this project sustains the successes of Smart Villages Company on the regional level, especially after the great success we have achieved in our pioneer project, "Smart Village - Egypt" in addition to finalizing the master plan and detailed studies to establish the first “Smart Village” in Amman – Jordan, and also moving forward in the procedures of establishing a partnership between us and a Tunisian Master Developer to establish, operate and manage a group of Business & Technology Parks and Smart Villages in Tunisia.

It is to be noted that expansion in these projects regionally reinforces the concept of “Smart Villages” that is mainly concerned in leading and supporting the technological entities and business parks in the region to be a platform to attract investors working in this field and looking for real investment, the thing that will sustain the position of the Smart Villages Company on the CIT industry map; not only on regional level, but on the international level as well. Moreover, these giant regional projects will positively and effectively contribute in supporting the national economy and open new horizons for cooperation in various fields between Egypt and various regional countries, especially in Africa.
