Orascom: “the eighths’ largest mobile network in the world”

  PRTM, a global management consultancy has published a new report stating that “Egypt’s Orascom Telecom has become the eighth largest mobile network in the world by customer numbers”.
This statement positioned Orascom ahead of some renowned international operators. Moreover, the study highlights that 7 operators in the ME&A region have more than 300 million subscribers: Etisalat, Orascom, Qtel, STC, Zain from the Middle East, and MTN and Millicom in Africa.

Cyber Crimes and Child Protection Online

  A workshop entitled “Fight against Cybercrime and Child on-line Exploitation” will be held in Cairo at the end of this month.  This workshop is run by Cyber Peace Initiative in cooperation with the European Commission Directorate-General Enlargement and the Academy of European Law.
Prominent European and local experts will conduct this workshop and it will be the occasion for Egypt to benefit from the European experience in this field. Online pornography and cyber crime are daily burdens which deserve radical and fast solutions.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) has traveled to Washington, DC on its annual “Doorknock” Mission since 1985, Smart Villages Company was part of this delegation that met with the U.S. Administration, Congressional Members, think tanks, and media representatives.
