2009 is almost done, with all its good and bad, with its expectations, projections, and actual figures, carrying with it its looses and wins, leaving a global economy shaken and changed, with centre of power moving from one country to the other, yet we all look forward to 2010 as a better tomorrow, we define our goals, write down our objectives and set our plans to make the best out of the past year and get the max out of the next one.
It is the time were faith in our capabilities, belief in our economy and persistence of reaching the sky, to enhance our business and put it on the competitive global map; it’s the time were a smart plan and dedicated team will work together in creating their prosperous tomorrow.

Internet speaks: Misr- مصر
On the 16th of November, Dr. Tarek Kamel (Minister of Communication Information Technology) along with Dr.Hani Halal (Minister of higher education) had signed up the first Arabic domain name suffixed: “.Misr”. The official announcement of the acquisition of a domain name suffixed was made during the 4th IGF Forum held in Sharm El Sheikh.
Egypt is a pioneer to sign up in this system among the Arab countries. Indeed, “Misr” will be available on all the search engines for any internet users, and will certainly increase the traffic on Arabic websites. “Misr” is expected to enhance the multilingualism of the web and boost other Arab countries to follow the same example.
National Archives of Egypt digitalized
By Mid December 2009, Prime Minister Dr. Nazif will inaugurate the National Archives of Egypt (NAE) digitalization project. The digitalization project is a common partnership of CULTNAT (under the MCIT authority) and of the Ministry of Culture by NAE.
More than 90 millions documents about the History of the Arabic countries (some documents dating back to 1147 AD) will be soon available on the internet. This project is meant to increase the Arabic E-content online as well as facilitating the access to culture since the number of internet users is daily booming in the Arab World.
Egyptian Private Sector Declaration on Climate Change
The Egyptian Junior Businessmen Association , with all its memebr companies, including Smart Villages Company joined forces in signing a decleration of working together and joining the governmental call to contribute and support the global treaty post the COP15 meeting to mitigate dangerous climate change.
The Decleration was presented by Eng. Amr M. Aboualam, EJB Board Member, Head of Sustainability Task Force and Smart Villages Company CEO.
