FROM THE EDITOR

With the month of October knocking our doors, it’s the start of the fourth and final quarter of the year 2009, it’s the time where reports are delivered, budgets are set and plans are built.
Companies and business organizations start to evaluate their performance during the past year and set their goals for the coming one, all of this is managed through what we call an “Annual Business Plan”. Its main goal is to set out the strategy and action plan, which includes a clear financial picture of where you stand - and expect to stand - over the coming year. This allows you to act quickly where necessary, rather than simply reacting to events after they've happened.
If you have been in business for a number of years and your results each year are much the same as the year before or you are planning for a higher benchmark, then obviously something will have to change, to see an improvement. It comes down to the saying: If you keep on doing what you have always done you will get what you have always got.
We encourage you to start working on your organization, company or department’s strategic annual plan and explore new alternatives and new possibilities, set new goals, raise your expectations and work for the best.

Ms. Marzouk emphasized that such acts represent a serious threat to Community and National Economy. And stopping them would be avoiding significant economic losses resulting from the reluctance of investors from entering this country's economic activity.
