The employees eligible to follow the trainings in Alcatel-Lucent University Egypt are those settled in the Middle East and on the African continent. Moreover, specific trainings are offered to Alcatel-Lucent customers in the region such as Mobilnil, Telecom Egypt or Orascom to provide the best qualitative services.
There is a worldwide network of 20 Alcatel-Lucent certified Universities, why did you decide to elect Egypt as prime location to represent the main University for the Middle East as well as the whole African continent?
Alcatel-Lucent Egypt was a technical training center since 1999. With the existing and the successful experience of the company in trainings, the process of establishing a certified University in Egypt was a smart and well designed step.
Another success pillar for such project in Egypt is being located in Alcatel-Lucent Egypt, the Head Office for the whole Middle East and African continent.
Do you target any specific trainee, and is the demand increasing with the flourishing ICT market in the region?
Alcatel-Lucent University mainly targets their employees in the region as well as their customers. However, a partnership with Cairo University, NTI, the French University and Future Generation Foundation allows fresh graduates in engineering to be enrolled in specific programs (free of charge) and enhance their capabilities.
The number of trainees is increasing as well as the different programs
Can you further explain the original concept of the Alcatel-Lucent Learning Management System (LMS)?
LMS is a global database shaped to record all the trainings and trace all the trainees within the 21 certified Alcatel-Lucent Universities. LMS facilitates the access of the different activities and is a convenient way to target the right persons. Potential trainees can directly register online.

Green Tip
Make it a policy to post employee manuals and similar materials online, rather than distribute print copies. They're easier to update that way too.
